The People You Will Actually Deal With
Most commercial laundries are a brand over a call center. This one is a 24-hour plant in Los Angeles that already runs multi-property hotel groups, the LA Rams and the Academy Museum, with an owner on every account. Big enough to carry a portfolio through a sellout weekend, small enough that the person who answers knows your name.

An independent laundry, not a branch of one
OrangeBag is independently owned and operated. It is not a franchise, and it is not a regional arm of a national group — which matters mostly because it decides who can say yes to you. Terms, exceptions and fixes are decided here rather than escalated to a head office in another state.
It also decides what happens when something goes wrong. There is no policy that requires a queue, and no rep whose territory changes in April. The person who set your program up is the person you call.
Who started it, and why
A commercial laundry is a trust business. It is reasonable to want to know who is behind one before handing over your linen.

Ayad Mirjan
Founded OrangeBag in Los Angeles in 2017 after watching local businesses get pushed into three-to-five-year laundry agreements they had no way out of — coffee shops, salons, gyms, spas, the kind of operators the industry treated as too small to serve properly.
The company was built as the alternative: the same standard the large accounts get, on terms under three years, priced in writing before anything is signed. It still runs from its own plant on Avalon Blvd for the same reason it started — so there is somebody to answer for the work.
Ayad grew up in Baghdad during the war, watching his father run a business in a place where every decision carried real risk. His own career started in the corporate world, across banking, infrastructure and international development, before a first venture in 2012 that failed outright and taught him to test an idea before betting on it. Working sixty-hour weeks from a Los Angeles apartment with no laundry room, he saw the gap and built the service he needed himself.
Today he runs the Avalon Blvd plant and its full-time team, keeps the LA Rams and the Academy Museum on the route sheet, and still reads small owners’ laundry contracts for free when they ask.
From one plant to five regions
The short history, without the milestones nobody outside the company cares about.
Founded in Los Angeles
OrangeBag starts because local businesses — coffee shops, salons, gyms, spas — are being pushed into three-to-five-year laundry agreements with terms they cannot get out of. The founding idea is narrow and specific: the same service, without the lock-in.
The plant on Avalon Blvd
OrangeBag takes on its own plant at 600 N Avalon Blvd rather than brokering the work out. Owning the operation is what makes it possible to promise a standard and stand behind it.
Beyond Los Angeles
Washington DC becomes the first market outside California. Rather than opening plants it cannot staff, OrangeBag runs each new market through a facility close to the work, held to the standard set in Los Angeles.
Small Business of the Year
Recognized by the Mayor of Los Angeles for the work coming out of the Avalon Blvd plant.
Five regions, one standard
California, Texas, Central Florida, Washington DC and Atlanta. Single-site salons and clinics through multi-property hotel groups, all on agreement terms under three years.
You get one person, and they stay
Every account is assigned a single point of contact at OrangeBag who owns it from the quote onward. Not a sales rep who hands you to an onboarding team, and not a shared inbox that routes to whoever is free that morning.
It is a deliberately unscalable way to run an account book, and it is the reason most clients give for moving.
What that means in practice
- The person who quotes you is the person who runs the account
- Escalations go to that person, not into a queue
- One contact for a whole portfolio, across properties or states
- Route changes and exceptions get decided here, not referred upward
- You are told who they are at the start, not after something goes wrong

Trust, Respect, Own It, Find A Way, Integrity, Environmental Friendliness. They are easy to print and harder to keep when they are inconvenient — which is why each one is written down with the thing it actually commits us to.

Who founded OrangeBag?
OrangeBag was founded in Los Angeles in 2017 by Ayad Mirjan. It started because small operators — coffee shops, salons, gyms and spas — were being locked into three-to-five-year commercial laundry agreements, and the company was built to offer the same service on terms under three years.
Is OrangeBag independently owned?
Yes. OrangeBag is independently owned and operated, not a franchise or a branch of a national laundry group. It owns and operates its plant at 600 N Avalon Blvd., Los Angeles, and sets its operating standard there.
How big is OrangeBag?
OrangeBag operates across five regions — California, Texas, Central Florida, Washington DC and Atlanta — serving accounts that range from single-site salons and clinics to multi-property hotel groups. Los Angeles is the owned plant; every other market is served by a facility close to the work.
Who will I actually deal with?
Every account is assigned a single point of contact at OrangeBag who owns it from the quote onward, rather than a rotating rep. Escalations go to that person rather than into a queue, and the same contact handles a portfolio spanning several properties or several states. You are told who they are when the program starts.
Where is OrangeBag based?
OrangeBag is headquartered at 600 N Avalon Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90744. Office hours are Monday to Friday 9am–3pm and Saturday 10am–2pm; route availability differs by market and is set per account.
