Laundry Tips for People Who Hate Doing Laundry
Ask anyone if they like doing laundry, and 9.9 out of 10 people will say “no!” And unfortunately, for those that really dislike doing laundry, the longer you put it off, the worse it gets.
Which makes the laundry pile get bigger, creating more of a nightmare on laundry day.
At OrangeBag, doing laundry is our life! We are professionals and know the tips and tricks that will make your laundry day easier.
Here are our wash and fold laundry tips for people that hate doing laundry.
Tip #1: Get ahead of the laundry game.
This step is about preventative maintenance.
Laundry doesn’t have to be “all or nothing”. Instead of letting your laundry pile get out of control, break it up into smaller, more reasonable loads throughout the week.
Creating a regular schedule of “incremental laundry”, will help you develop the “habit of doing laundry.” This makes doing laundry easier, as it becomes part of what you do subconsciously every few days, rather than worrying about the stacking pile in your closet.
Try to schedule your routine laundry in doing things you do everyday - i.e. while you are eating dinner, getting ready in the morning, or when you get home at night. This will help you plan laundry around your own schedule – you don’t need to dedicate all your time and energy to it!
Tip #2: Sort your Clothes Beforehand.
Sorting your clothes is time-consuming and tedious. This is why at OrangeBag, we sort our client’s laundry for them.
For yourself, we recommend keeping your laundry sorted in different baskets, so when you do your laundry, it will already be sorted.
Sorting your clothes properly will keep them looking newer as you will be washing your dark and light colors separately, and washing your towels and sheets separately.
If you sort as you throw dirty laundry into your hamper, you’re making your next laundry day just a little bit easier.
Tip #3: Take time folding.
At OrangeBag, we take pride in folding our client’s clothes. With our professional folders, we strive to deliver consistently folded laundry every single time.
While folding feels like a tedious task, having your clothes neatly folded after you do laundry, helps you when you are putting your clothing away. It also helps your clothes look better when you’re ready to wear them, and have a better night’s sleep when your sheets aren’t wrinkled.

Tip #4: Get Some Help!
It’s always easier to do a tedious task when you have someone to help you. After all, 4 hands are better than two - especially when it comes to doing laundry.
Get help from your kids, your partner, or roommate. Even better, download the OrangeBag app and schedule a pickup!
All you have to do is leave your dirty clothes outside of your door. We’ll pick it up, clean, fold, and return your laundry to you ready to put away.
